Ghost Funk Orchestra | BIRD

Ghost Funk Orchestra is coming to BIRD Rotterdam. What began as a one-man project by composer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Applebaum has grown into a powerful live band that blows audiences away wherever they go.

Their sound doesn’t fit into a single box. Expect soul, psych rock, salsa, and countless other influences colliding into something truly unique. That’s what makes Ghost Funk Orchestra so unpredictable and addictive. They’ve earned praise from NPR, Bandcamp, and Brooklyn Vegan, lit up stages at Montreal Jazz, Treefort, and Telluride Jazz, and shared the stage with Os Mutantes, Monophonics, Grace Potter, and La Luz.

Post-Trash called their music a psychedelic journey, while Bandcamp praised their fearless way of exploring every corner of funk. For Ghost Funk Orchestra, it’s all about experimentation and surprise. Live, that means only one thing: you never know what’s coming, except that it will hit hard.
